Kid's Cash Club Savings Account

Energy One is also here to serve the families of our members. The children and grandchildren of current members are eligible for membership. Members under the age of 15 belong to the Kid's Cash Club. Their accounts may be opened with as little as $5 and they earn dividends on balances of at least $25. They receive a birthday gift and card every year, and for every deposit of at least $5 into their account, they are automatically entered into quarterly cash drawings! Coloring contests throughout the year provide additional chances to win cash. This account shows kids the importance of saving money and makes them feel good to have something of their own! Student Checking Account

Energy One values the relationship we have with our young adult members, and we enjoy helping them build a strong financial base. With their parent or guardian's permission, members aged 15 - 17 may open a checking account. The parent or guardian must be a signer on the account until the member is 18, so this is the perfect time to teach teens how to use a checking account properly. This account can be used through the age of 25 as long as the member is a student, and can include an ATM or check card, upon application and approval. Loans

Students have the opportunity to build good credit, even before they turn 18. Energy One will make loans to students who have a cosigner over the age of 18. Contact a loan officer to discuss loan options for members under the age of 18.

Youth Web Activity Center

Young members have their own website at Energy One! It's called Googolplex and it has different sections based on the user's age. Pick up tips about money, and even play games! There are also calculators to help figure out how much money you'll have in the future if you start saving now, or calculate how much to save if you have a particular goal in mind. It's a really cool site designed by young adults.
