Sometimes You Need a Clean Slate - Because Energy One believes that members deserve a second chance, we offer an opportunity to have a checking account today, even if you have had difficulties managing one in the past.

What is it? - Second Chance Checking is for members who have had accounts closed, have a ChexSystems record, or other negative records or reports concerning your accounts. The account may also be used to give current members whose accounts have been closed a second chance.

Energy One can show you how to maintain your account and avoid negative activity. Excessive NSF activity or abuse may result in loss of ATM or check card privileges, or even in account closure.

How does it work? - You are responsible for keeping track of how much money you have available, and not overspending. Energy One can tell you what has posted to your account, but we can’t tell you what is still outstanding. We will give you the tools to keep track of it all.

After one year of good standing, you may be eligible to change to another account with lower fees and fewer restrictions.
